Our Approach
Wildpath Adventures believes that meaningful development happens through consistent support, positive challenge, and structured real-world experiences. Our programmes are designed to create safe, engaging, and supportive outdoor environments where young people can build confidence, develop practical skills, and experience success through progressive outdoor learning.
We recognise that many young people benefit from learning environments outside of the traditional classroom. Outdoor learning provides opportunities to develop communication, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through practical experiences that are purposeful, achievable, and rewarding.
Our delivery focuses on consistency, clear expectations, and supportive
progression. Sessions are carefully structured to provide positive challenge while remaining adaptable to the needs, abilities, and confidence levels of each group.
Wildpath programmes are designed not only to develop outdoor skills, but also to support wider personal and social development, including:

We use authentic outdoor venues, for authentic outdoor education.
Wildpath Adventures aims to use authentic outdoor environments wherever possible, allowing participants to experience activities within real-world natural settings rather than artificial or classroom-based environments. These environments provide valuable opportunities for challenge, exploration, resilience, confidence-building, and meaningful connection with the outdoors through genuine outdoor experiences.
Wildpath Adventures was founded by Kyle Adair, whose passion for the outdoors began at a young age after being introduced to kayaking by a friend and his father. Spending time outdoors quickly became more than just a hobby — it provided a positive environment to regulate emotions, process challenges, and build confidence through meaningful experiences away from everyday pressures.
That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for adventurous activities, leading to years of personal involvement in kayaking, mountain biking, climbing, canoe expeditions, and outdoor travel across a range of environments and countries, with Kyle’s most recent expedition being a remote river journey through the wilderness of Canada.
Kyle later began working professionally in the outdoors through a role within a crisis residential care setting that specialised in using outdoor activities to support young people with complex needs and challenging experiences. Through this work, he saw first-hand the positive impact that structured outdoor learning could have on confidence, resilience, emotional wellbeing, engagement, and personal development.
Driven by a strong belief in the value of outdoor education, Kyle continued developing his own qualifications, experience, and professional practice before founding Wildpath Adventures.
A key part of the Wildpath approach is providing young people with meaningful progression and tangible recognition for their achievements. Alongside outdoor experiences, programmes offer opportunities to work towards recognised accreditation pathways including AQA Unit Awards, Paddle UK Awards, and MIAS Gear Awards, helping participants build confidence through measurable progress and achievement.
Through Wildpath Adventures, Kyle aims to create safe, structured, and supportive outdoor learning environments where young people can challenge themselves positively, experience success, and develop a lifelong connection with the outdoors.
